Zeluga 15-545 Reusable Roof Anchor Bracket

All persons using this equipment must read and understand all instructions. Failure to do so may result in serious injury or death. Do not use this equipment unless you are properly trained. It is the employer’s responsibility to provide all users of fall protection with the proper equipment and training for the work at hand.

• Ensure that all pieces of equipment are compatible with each other; failure to adhere to system compatibility requirements may result in accidental disengagement which could result in injury or death.
• The end user must inspect all equipment before each use.
• In the event of a fall, this and all other fall protection equipment involved must be removed from service.
• Do not alter any equipment; any repair can only be performed by the manufacturer or authorized personnel.

SYSTEM COMPATIBILITY

ZELUGA 15-545 Reusable roof anchors are designed and approved for use only with ZELUGA Inc.
Connectors(ZELUGA’s harness, braid rope, carabiner and hand ascender). Any substitution of components may result in compatibility issues that could result in the fall protection system becoming disengaged during a fall, which could result in injury or death.

CAPACITY

This roof anchor is designed for use by a single person with a combined weight (clothing, tools, etc.) of no more than 310 lbs. Make sure all of the components in your system are rated to a capacity appropriate to your application.

CORROSION

If the roof anchor is used in an environment such that the roof anchor may be exposed to a corrosive environment (for example near the salt water); the roof bracket must be inspected more frequently.

ROOF STRUCTURE

This anchorage connector is intended to be installed on wood framed structures capable of withstanding a minimum of 5,000 lbs (22kN) of loading.

WARRANTY

Equipment offered by Zeluga. Inc. are warranted against factory defects in workmanship and materials for a period of one year from date of installation or use by the owner, provided that this period shall not exceed one year from the date of shipment. Upon notice in writing, Zeluga Inc. will promptly repair or replace all defective items. Zeluga Inc. reserves the right to elect to have any defective item returned to its plant for inspection before making a repair or replacement. This warranty does not cover equipment damages resulting from abuse, damage in transit, or other damage beyond the control of Zeluga Inc. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is the only one applicable to our products, and is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied.

INSTALLATION

The roof anchor is designed to be installed at the peak of the roof. Placement of the roof anchor should be as far as possible from any exposed fall hazards (i.e. exposed roof edge). Always ensure that the roof anchor is installed through the sheathing, directing into a truss. Never install the roof anchor to the sheathing alone. Ensure the roof anchors are adequately spaced so that the roof anchor minimizes any swing falls. To install the roof anchor, spread the steel plates apart and lay it over the peak of the roof. Use at least M5 x #10 screws(The diameter of screw hole is 6mm) to install the anchor to the structure. Ensure all 32 screws (16 per side) are installed.

INSPECTION OF ROOF ANCHOR

Inspecting the roof anchor must be done before each use. Look for signs of cracks, dents, corrosion (red rust), or deformities in the roof anchor. Ensure that each leg is flat and not bent due to excessive force. If inspection reveals a defective condition, remove unit from service immediately and destroy.

INSPECTION OF INSTALLATION

Ensure that the roof anchor is firmly attached to the roof structure. Firmly pull on the roof anchor to ensure that the roof does not move. Inspect the roof structure to ensure it still as adequate strength to support 5,000 lbs (22 kN). If there is any doubt of the integrity of the roof structure, remove the roof anchor and relocate to an adequate location.

MAINTENANCE, SERVICE, AND STORAGE
